It was not an easy task for the editorial team to choose the winner among such beautiful photos nominated in competition for March. Finally, the winner was chosen. His name is Aleksandr Kondratov (Aleksandr) and he won the monthly competition with this marvelous photo.

Orthphoto and Adobe Romania again will reward the best 12 photos of the year. Adobe Prize Competition 2011 will run in two stages. In first stage will be selected 12 photos – one for each month from January to December.

We are trying to organize this year the 4th exhibition focused on a theme which has been long awaited: the Colours of Orthodoxy. Romania. Thanx to partnerships with several institutions, we benefit from material support for the logistics. Each user will submit up to 5 photos. We are going to select the most interesting 200 photos for printing.

Unusual, interesting, touching – these are comments of people who saw “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”. The exhibition took place in Centre of Orthodox Culture in Bialystok, Poland. The organizers presented 200 photos by 57 authors. The pictures show places which are important to Orthodox believers from Poland and people connected with Polish Orthodox Church.

The Metropolis of Moldavia and Bukovina, in partnership with The Centre for Touristic Promotion Association in Iaşi, will organize, between October 9 and October 16, 2011, the second Orthphoto International Photo Exhibition called Orthodox Monasticism. The host of this event will be The Golia Tower, part of the Golia Monastery Historical Monument Ensemble.

We would like to announce that the president of Poland, Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, has offered his honorary patronage for the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy”. We feel extremely happy and honoured by this gesture as it proves that our initiatives are appreciated. Hopefully, the support of such an important person would help us promote our initiative and organize different events not only here, in Poland, but throughout the world.
