We are glad to inform you that the wonderful photo of Ewa Onopiuk (evaphoto) from Poland won the contest in April. Congratulation, Eva!

We understood that the photography is not only passion for Eva, but also a way to the roots of the Orthodox culture in Poland. Here it is what she said about the photography, about the past, about herself and the photo-winner: "I have been interested in an amateur photography for 10 years. Since I often make pilgrims to variety of orthodox places where I have an opportunity to take photos, there as well as in every moment of my free time, I try to perpetuate passed tradition, former culture with its customs and people who live on the East of Poland. The results of my work I have been performing on OrthPhoto since 2008. I am very glad to be a winner of OrthPhoto competition in April when its users approved my work giving me the highest notes. I do thank all of them. The prized photo was taken in Hagia Sophia Church in Białystok during the reading the Evangel on Maundy Thursday in April 2011. The photo shows how wonderful weather were there allowing the sun to lighten the church and making the entire ambience incredible."
