For Alik:
In Romania both the young married are holding crowns, as a prize for their cleanness when coming in the face of the altar for marriage. And the one who puts the crowns on their heads is the priest helped by the god-father for bridegroom and the god-mother for the bride. By the way, here we have god-father and god-mother for the wedding also, not only for baptism, meaning a married couple that will help the young family spiritually, as I know this is not in all the countries.

Alik!
You see, I don't know about this peculiarity.
As to me, I'm only officially married. I wasn't married in church.
Yours, Sergei.

I was asking about those people who are holding crowns .
In Poland we have to couples and crowns are holding only boys.

Alik!
Certainly, in Russia (in particularly, in the european part of the country) one man being registered in a marriage can officially have only one wife.
