This is the Church of Panagia Soumela. Greek refugees from the Black Sea abandoned their homeland in 1922 because of the Turkish army forces. When they came to the Greek mainland they built this Church to remember the Monastery of Panagia Soumela which is located at the south Black Sea (Pontus). Here is entreasured the miraculous icon of Panagia Soumela which they brought from the Black Sea.
