I know and understand why you think like that, but personally I prefer to see connection some how.
There was discussion about this kind of photos.
And personally I think photo should be more connected.
This is the same with photo of sunset or tree we could say that this is orthodox as well becouse it is God creation. But then our site will be almost the same like other sites with photos.
Long time ago we were discussing as well about priest car. Someone said that it is enough connected to be post on this web.
Borders are very delicate. I had to options not to say anything or express myself - and this time I choose second option :)

I think here is misunderstanding. Girl is religious in her own way, she attends services regularly, listens prayers, repeats words, even sings with singers. I pictured her in front of church, didn't think it was a must to show a churh building clearly behind her. There are some other portraits in similar way (http://www.orthphoto.net/photo.php?id=11215, for example), nobody seems to have problems with it.

nice photo but for me it is a little bit to far from idea of this site. You should try to take photo of this girl in more "orthodox" surrounding.
