atriarch of Antioch and All the East, fell asleep in the Lord , December 5th, 2012, at St. George Orthodox Hospital in Beirut Lebanon, after having suffered a stroke earlier this week. Biography His Beatitude Patriarch Ignatius IV (Hazim) of Antioch and All the East was born in 1920 in the village of Muharda, near the city of Hama Syria.

In the early morning of November 6, 2012, His Holiness Maxim, the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia, reposed in the Lord at the age of 98 after a short illness due to heart failure, at University Hospital "Lozenets" at 03.30 hours. His Holiness Maxim led Bulgarian Orthodox Christians for more than 40 years. He was at the helm of the church from July 1971.

A photo exhibition was successfully held regarding the Orthodox monastic tradition around the world. The photos were taken by the members of the website Orthphoto.net. The exhibition was organized by the Press Office of the Metropolis of Veria, Naoussa and Campania on the occasion of the 18th Pavlia
