Our October winner is from Russia. The marvelous photo of Andrey Khitaylenko (anndrop) took the hearts not only of the users but of the editorial team also.
The human faces, the eyes, the hands could tell us different stories better than the words. Andrey’s photo tells us such story.

But let’s see what is the story of Andrey himself. “I live in Shadrinsk town in Russia. I am working for a private company. Photographing is my hobby for many years and I take it seriously. I am a member of Art Photographers Union in Russia. I am taking part in different Russian and international competitions. Recently I started to take pictures on Orthodoxy. For two years I have been photographing in Dolmatovo Dormition Monastery. In January 2012 my pictures were presented in the final photo exhibition “Faith in Russia” in the Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow.
I am very glad that my picture won in the OrthPhoto competition. This picture was taken in the Dolmatovo Dormition Monastery in the area where monks run the household under the direction of Father Vladimir. There monks keep the sheep and cows and the monastery apiary is located. I wish OrthPhoto and Adobe Romania success and creative work. I am planning to take pictures for the site and further.”
