The registration process for international photo workshop has just started!

Foundation “Oikonomos” and OrthPhoto.net would like to invite you to participate in “International Photography Workshop Suprasl 2011” The aim of the workshop is to promote Orthodox photography and culture. The project is targeted at people who already know something about photography as well as those who still need to learn a lot. Two days of the workshop are organized together with the Nikon Academy which means: • Access to Nikon’s equipment suitable for reportage photography (for a list of the equipment see the link: http://www.akademianikona.pl/sprzet/ ) • An elementary course for photographers Through the contact with the best equipment participants would learn about modern techniques of taking photos. Moreover, the participants get the chance to learn something about the composition and cropping. A team of professionals will teach you how to process your photos using computer. Because one of the objectives of the project is to show its participants a proper approach to shooting religious events the participants are to take part in a pilgrimage to the most important Orthodox sanctuary in Poland – Grabarka. Guided by professionals, you are going to learn how to use the techniques in practice. The best photos are to be presented on a photo exhibition in Orthodox Culture Center in Bialystok in October 2011. The project Photography workshop – Supraśl 2011” involves: • learning about modern photo equipment of the best quality • Photo processing • Photo composition • Photo reportage • A pilgrimage and participation in a feast of Transfiguration at Grabarka • Trips to other Orthodox churches and monasteries in the area The workshop takes place at the Suprasl Academy between 10th and 20th August 2011. The cost of the workshop is 250 Euro.
