Dear Users!

In October we are preparing our third photo exhibition. We have always highlighted the fact that we want each of our exhibitions to have a theme. This year it is going to be a story about Orthodoxy in Poland entitled “Colours of Orthodoxy. Poland”. We hope that the exhibition is going to be accompanied with a photo album and a calendar for the year 2012, all of them made of the photos sent by our users. We want this exhibition to be the first one from a series of exhibitions which would present Orthodoxy in all the corners of the world. We believe that with the help of our Lord we will be able to fulfill this ambition.



If you want to see you photo on the exhibition send us an e-mail (to orthphoto2011@gmail.com) with maximum 5 photos from you profiles on OrthPhoto. The deadline is 20th July 2011.



We want to show Polish Orthodoxy seen not only through the photo lens but also with our hearts. We want to show small village churches as well as those from towns. Festive celebrations as well as every-day customs, colourful people connected with Orthodoxy, our priests and parishioners. These are all colours of Orthodoxy.

As in the previous years we are preparing two identical sets of photographs which are to tour Poland and the world. We are going to choose 200 best photos for printing and all of the photos received are going to appear on a slideshow presented during exhibitions.



We Reed you to actively participate In the process of preparations and share with us your ideas and, of course, your photographs.



If you would like to help with preparations of the exhibition, publishing of the calendar or the album or you want to prepare and exhibition in your town or village do not hesitate and contact us. In addition, we are preparing something special for photography-lovers. We are preparing a photography workshop which is going to take place in Supraśl, Poland from 10th to 20th August 2011. More information is soon going to be available at http://workshop.orthphoto.net/index.php?ln=pl

Your photo should be described, write:

- the title – It should be the same as you ID number fromz Orthphoto. For instance, if the link to the photo is: http://www.Orthphoto.net/photo.php?id=1135 id photos is 1135 (id=1135)

- The quality and size of the photograph should be minimum: 300dpi, 20x30 cm



Remember, the deadline is 20th July 2011.

Your e-mail with photographs should consist of:

The author’s name

Login from Orthphoto

The title of your photo

Name of the place where you took the photograph

A short description of the photo



Finally, you should specify the copyrights, for example:

1. I allow the photo to be used solely for the purpose of this exhibition

2. user and orthphoto hold copyright (which means orthphoto editorial team will be able to allow to use the photo by organizations which could ask for them which will be accepted by the editorial team)

3. anyone can use the photo (just need to inform user about how photo was used)

4. anyone can use the photo (without information)

5. anyone can use or edit the photo



If you chose option number 1 and allow use your photo only for exhibition please let us know if you agree to use this photo also for album which we hope to print after the exhibition and a calendar (see example below).
