We are pleased to announce that Pavel Bogdanov (bogedar) from Russia won our prize competition for January with this beautiful photo. Adobe Romania will award him with a Photoshop CS3 license and Pavel is very happy to receive it. Also, Orthphoto will be keeping a set of his photos on the main page for one month.

We asked him to tell us something about himself and here is what we found out: he is a 36 years old doctor from Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region, Russia. Photography is a hobby that he started practicing in 2006, now taking part of exhibitions and contests. Main cameras are Nikon D80, Nikon F65 (he uses mostly the
objectives like monocle) and middle-size Iskra.

He also likes traveling and taking pictures of the churches and monasteries. He likes most to take pictures in the Northern Russia, Novgorod the Great and Yaroslavl Region. He thinks that Orthodox temples change even the structure of landscapes and the sense of perspective and he is trying to transfer these feelings in his shots.
