Grand opening of OrthPhoto.Net Exhibition in Poland

Bialystok's Orthodox Culture Centre received a great number of interested people and orthphoto users on the day of the official beginning of OrthPhoto.net Anniversary exhibition. The opening ceremony was started with the joyous Paschal hymn "Christ is Risen". Alik Wasyluk, co-author and manager of the Web site welcomed the guests and had a brief speech about OrthPhoto, which was followed by the concert of St George Parish Choir, conducted by Anna Cyrkun. His Eminence Archbishop Jacob and Bialystok's vice-president, Alexander Sosna were present at the ceremony and Mr Sosna officially opened the exhibition. There was a presentation of “Orthodox Surprises” in which a few travelers told about their interesting experience from their travels. Lukasz Nazarko was speaking about Finland, Mariusz Nikciuk about Africa, fr Michal Czykwin and fr Marek Lawreszuk about Kosovo and Metohija and Mira Dudel about Georgia. The Exhibition displays 300 best photos from the OrthPhoto.net web site presenting the beauty of Orthodox Christianity in 43 countries around the world.
