Photo exhibition in Varna celebrates the 5th anniversary of Orthphoto.net
This Easter (April 19) in the spirit and education center “St. Archangel Mihail” His Holiness the metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav d-r Kiril opened an exhibition of Orthodox photography from the web site оrthphoto.net. Among the official guests were the deputy mayor of Varna Mr. Kosta Bazitov and the Bulgarian coordinator of the site, Mr. Atanas Dimitrov.
The exhibition represents 150 of the best and the most visited pictures from the site. It is the most reasonable way of showing the value, the beauty and richness of the Orthodox churches and traditions from all over the world.
The exposition is dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the web site оrthphoto.net and is realized with the partnership with the Bulgarian remembrance foundation and the spirit and education center “St. Archangel Mihail” in Varna.
The exhibition is part of the Week of the Orthodox book and this will give opportunity to Varna’s citizens and guests of the town to get acquainted with the rich Orthodox traditions.
Currently there are over 850 photographs in оrthphoto.net that present the life of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and more than 80 registered Bulgarian users and at least 1 400 visits every month from our country. There are only 4 countries with more active participation – Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Russia.
