This year orthphoto will celebrate 5 years of existence. It is not too much in terms of a lifetime but in internet it is quite a long period. During this time, we were trying to make a good service to our users as much as possible, taking into consideration that all team members are volounteers use their free time to work for orthphoto. We hope it was worthy as the number of visitors and orthphoto friends is still growing.
We have a lot new ideas but time limitations do not allow the realisation of all of them.

For our fifth anniversary, we have decided to do the following:

1. An International Exhibition with about 300 photos from our site, presenting the beauty of Orthodox Christianity. Additionally, we hope this international exhibition will be an opportunity for our users to meet in person.
2. An International Workshop (7-21 August 2009, Suprasl, Poland) with 45 participants from all over the world. Seven-day workshop with photographers and discussions about Orthodox Christian photography followed by visiting some places important for the Polish Orthodox Christianity.
3. Changes on the web page: new home page, voting system and everything what we find important, interesting and possible to implement.

Orthphoto editorial team is established to coordinate work and languages but we need you, our users, to help us in this development.
If you like our site and have interesting ideas or just simply want to help and have your say, please do it now on our forum in the following threads:

1. International Exhibition: here you can share your opinion how it should be organized, suggest a place where it could be exhibited, join local organizers team and help in preparations, help finding sponsors etc.
2. International Workshop: you can learn from this topic about our ideas, share your comments, suggest topics which should be discussed at the Workshop.
3. Changes on web page: we are waiting for suggestions what should be improved or added in our site. We hope that with your help we will decide what is the most important to create first.

Until now our site was 100% supported by the Orthodox Internet Service, cerkiew.pl (web site for Polish Orthodox users). In 5 years, we have grown up and number of photos and visits has become too big, so we need to be self-financing.
Because of all this, we need some financial support and we have already started looking for it. If you are willing to help us we will be more than happy to accept your suggestions and any kind of help:

- if you know any possibility were we can apply for a grant or are familiar with any sponsor who we can write a letter to, please inform us;
