Have you taken a photo of a holy church, a monastery, a monk or a group of priests? Has any special scenery near by an Orthodox settlement drawn your attention? Will you go on a pilgrimage this year? Have you liked any roadside cross, icon, crucifix? Have you seen any gesture of charity, joy, love or anyone praying? Have certain religious events impressed you? TAKE A PHOTO OF THEM AND SEND THEM TO THE COMPETITION. Orthodoxy is near by us. PARTICIPATION RULES : I-st PRIZE The painted icon of "THE HOLY TRINITY", VALUING 600 LEI II-nd PRIZE The painted icon of THE MOTHER OF GOD WITH CHILD, VALUING 350 LEI III-rd PRIZE The painted icon of JESUS CHRIST PANTOCRATOR, VALUING 250 LEI HONOURABLE MENTIONS: ICONS PAINTED ON STONE: 3 x 70 lei /each SPECIAL PRIZE OF THE JURY: The painted icon of "ST. NICHOLAS", VALUING 350 LEI "INSTANT" PRIZE : The painted icon of "ST. PARASKEVA OF IASI", VALUING 250 LEI Only the photos connected to the subject enter the competition. Amateur or professional competitors of no age limit may participate in the competition. The competition covers the period between June 12th, 2008 and December 6th, 2008 (St. Nicholas). Up to 10 photos will be sent to the e-mail address matei_schinteie@yahoo.com with the subject : PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION. The size of the photo will not be less than 450 X 600 pixels. Competitors will mention their own age and they will send together with the photos their complete address and telephone numbers where they can be contacted to. THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THEIR COMPLETE CONTACT DATA MENTIONED IN THEIR E-MAIL, CANNOT ENTER THE COMPETITION. EACH PHOTO MUST BE NAMED BY THE AUTHOR. THE WINNING PHOTOS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PRESS BY THE MEDIA PARTNERS OF THE COMPETITIONS WITHOUT ANY WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE AUTHORS. THE WINNING PHOTOS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF THE AUTHORS AS WELL AS OF THE ORGANIZERS OF THIS COMPETITION INCLUDING ALL THE DUE RIGHTS OF "THE LAW OF THE AUTHOR'S RIGHTS", both parts becoming COPROPRIETORS.
