Today we are celebrating the 4th birthday of orthphoto.net!

After this short period we are especially delighted about the diversity of Orthodoxy presented on OrthPhoto. Photographs published here come from over 60 countries.  Sources span from England to China, from South Korea to Kenya.
Most pictures originate from countries in which users play an active role in promoting the site.

We are committed to making OrthPhoto a truly international forum on Orthodox Christianity and photography. So far we have launched 9 language versions and we are planning to continually increase this number.

We warmly invite you to view the photographs, post your own works and join the conversations with other users of OrthPhoto.

We invite you to promote OrthPhoto wherever you are. Use the OrthPhoto banner on your website, print the poster and display it in your parish or just tell a friend about us!

We would also like to invite everyone willing to help the editorial team in the further development of orthphoto.net. If you feel you could help in any way translations, news, design, support, promotion etc.), do not hesitate to inform the editorial staff.

Our goal for next year is the international meeting of our users and an exhibition which would not be limited by the boundaries of the countries. If you have any suggestions of how you could help, please let us know!

Since the launching over 2,200 authors (700 in last year) have registered on the website and uploaded over 24,000 photographs (of which 10,500 were added last year). Every day users publish 30-60 new pictures; each one is viewed 450-1,000 times.  OrthPhoto has accumulated 645,246 comments and marks posted under the photographs (331,291 last year) and over 2,800 comments on forum. We are visited by an average of 1,300 people daily (last year 720), whereas during the 4 years of our existence we have registered visits from more than 100 countries.
