Today we reached 20 000 photos on our site. Soon number of users will go over 2000, it is another occasion to do a little bit of statistic and evaluation.
Last time when we spoke about number of photos it was 7 months ago and we had over 13 200 photographs which means that every month on our site is uploaded around 1 000 photos. In last months 500 users have joined our site. And we must admit that we are not doing any real promotion on other sites. We should remember also that photos are viewed not only by registered members . A single photo is viewed from 300 to 2000 times.
OrthPhoto has accumulated 525 000 comments or votes (in February 2007 it was 331 291) posted under the photographs and over 2 400 comments on forum. We are visited 3000 times daily and our visitors come from more than 90 countries.

We are especially delighted about the diversity of Orthodoxy presented on OrthPhoto. Photographs published here come from over 60 countries.
Sources are spread from England to China, from South Korea to Kenya.
Most pictures originate from countries in which users play an active role in promoting the site.

Our little editorial team is working 100% on voluntary basis without any financial support. We belong to OrthNet initiative which is also owner of orthodox internet service cerkiew.pl and we are located on servers which are paid by this site. We want to thank for cerkiew.pl team very much for their support.
Our growing popularity is a reason to think about finding ways of self financing which also could allow us to do more for our users and for promotion of orthodox faith. If you have some suggestions or want to help us in developing new ways of existing OrthPhoto (like international workshop, international exhibitions, books, orthphoto t-shirts, etc ) please write us.
We are very happy that our users start their own initiatives like orthphoto users meeting or exhibitions. It is great success of site and we want to support them and to be able to do it.
