like the straight geometry of the church, too :)

thanks for details :)
anyway, I don't find any church boring ;) but you idea with angles and straight architecture details is nice, yes. It is very good to know how old churches survive during times and wars. You are right! :)

You know, that there are limits for posting photos on this site, so i have chosen this one, just because i like the straight geometry of the church.

And about the photo: i can say, that general photos of this church are boring.

It was very easy for them to aim shining domes. All villages surrounding the monastery were awfully ruind. But none of the shells hit the monastery.

Georgian artillery was situated in straight line of sight, just in several kilometers from this place.

Hi Gena! It is nice, very interesting place, I like to read such comments, very instructive, thanks! :)
I think also that the photo is too fragmentary, it is interesting, but when one already knows the general view. Is that somewhere on the site?
And do you want to say "ruins of Abkhazia"? I think so. :)
It is always good to see places from the early christianity. Greetings! :)

And, well, it's not so good to call Abkhazia a part of Russia, but, at least, it's better than to call it a part of Georgia.
