Thank you Ika. I have been to Romania twice as a teenager (both times before 1989) and not to the north unfortunately. I'll make sure to visit next time.

Nickos, if you ever visit Romania don't forget to go in Maramures Region (N-W of Romania) and Bucovina Region(N-E)! You'll be impressed, trust me! :)

The wooden architecture of Maramures is amazing Serghei! The churches, most dating from the sixteenth century are maintained today exactly as they were built,using the same style and construction techniques that have been used for hundreds of years. No power tools are used!!!
