You can say what you want. But I must insist that all this church has Orthodox and Byzantine spirit, so it's a proper photo for this web. I repeat again that Orthodoxs are always well-received in this church and they can celebrate Orthodox Divine Liturgy as many times as they want.
Furthermore, what is depicted is Our Lady, Our Lord and the Prophets and Apostles, so this discussion is over.
I will not keep discussing about Saint Mark of Venice anymore. If you don't like the photo, don't look at it.

Concerning the fact St Mark's was build between 1063-1073 and taking into account that the Great Schism officially took place in 1054, it is not true this place was "built and consecrated by canonical bishops". It may imitate Orthodox Byzantine art, but is genuinely roman-catholic.

very nice!

@mihaela: come on, give me a break with your observations; I'm an orthodox too and I'm a bit confuse about these "statements" of yours

"Orthphoto.net accepts photographs of buildings built and consecrated by canonical bishops although they do not presently belong to the canonical Orthodox Churches but they still have the obvious signs of Orthodox Christian heritage."
Saint Mark of Venice is an example of that.

Hello! I hope you understand that the site has some regulations:

2. Images on this site must be limited to those of presently canonical Orthodox Christian Churches.
All Orthodox Christians should pray for the return of other Christians to the Orthodox Church. However, we must acknowledge that there are splits and schisms in the Church, some of which have happened for purely political reasons and have nothing to do with Orthodox Christian doctrine. It is not the responsibility of the orthphoto.net team to be a judge in these situations. Therefore, orthphoto.net can only accept photos of clergy, church buildings, the faithful and their celebrations which are members of the canonical Orthodox Church as recognized by the Autocephalous Orthodox Churches.
Orthphoto.net accepts photographs of buildings built and consecrated by canonical bishops although they do not presently belong to the canonical Orthodox Churches but they still have the obvious signs of Orthodox Christian heritage.
Orthphoto.net accepts photographs presenting the Christian Church before the Schism.

Saint Mark of Venice is a byzantine church with byzantine mosaics. And this mosaic is depicting Our Lord, his Holy Mother and the Apostles. Orthodoxs are always well-received always in this church and they can celebrate divine liturgy if they want. So I don't understand why this photo has deserved a 1 in spirit, since they are byzantine mosaics depicting orthodox saints!

is this in an orthodox church? or is it the mosaic that was taken from Aghia Sophia in Constantinopole? I knew a part of that one is in Florence.
