Listen! This is not a place to have such a discussion! If you have a problem with Bartholomew ask from your Church to stop being in Communion with him! If you thing Bartholomew is an ecumenist then your church is as well and YOU are and I am! By using different pieces from various sources to prove something then you do NOTHING! Saint Marcus theory collapsed, now you use Mount Athos (which received the visit of Patr. Bartholomew only a few months ago), and after that you will adopt conspiracy theories of someone else! Hooray!!! Nicely done! End of story! I am sure we can all find something againt every Patriarch, Archbishop and Metropolitan in the world! Make more comments under your photos or in the forum!

May be you should try to find and read letters of concern towards Bartolomews' pro ecumenist actions written and signed by all 20 holy monasteries of Mount Athos. And I am not alluding to the ultra zealots of Esphigmenou monastery!

I am fed up with the misuse of the life of Saint Marcus! You forgot (or you don't want) to mention that Marcus of Ephesus DID go to Florence and he DID discuss with the latins and they DID pray before the begining of the conference (it is written in the books)! So anathematise Saint Marcus as well!!! Give me a proof that Bartholomew prayed together with the latins apart from being present in their ceremonies! Give me a reason of discussing with other religions/denominations is soooooo sinful! Please have a look outside your micro-ultra "orthodox" world!!!

just compare the church policy that saint Mark of Ephesus was leading in Florence and compare it with the current church policy of Bartholomew and everything will be clear. As for my knowledge of Church history I mentioned the Ecumenical title of the Constantinopolitan patriarch because in the present it is only a limp gleam of the former glorry in the Byzantine period. And I would like to stress that the title Ecumenical was put in use no sooner than in 9th or 10th century. Until then Constantinopolitan hierarch was an archbishop

@iliana: Please read the the life of Saint Mark of Ephesus and his work on Council from Florence, http://orthodoxwiki.org/Mark_of_Ephesus

@dramones: Please read some Church history! I will not deal with you anymore! Ignorance has its limits!

Rather pretentious title (Ecumenical) considering the fact that Bartholomews' jurisdiction begins and ends in the city of Istanbul!

@dramones: Thank you for replacing Holy Synods with you own opinion! If you don't like him then ask from your Patriarch to stop being in Communion with Patriarch Bartholomew! Or YOU can stop being in Communion with the rest of the Orthodox Church because we are all heretics since we recognise and accept ECUMENICAL Patriarch Bartholomew!
dramones 2009.04.24 [15:54] Raportare pentru moderare
you can characterise him any way you like, still he remains an ecumenist due to his indignant participation in the World Council of Churches and prayers with roman catholics and protestants
iliana 2009.04.24 [14:38] Raportare pentru moderare
@dramones: I do not understand the spirit of your comment! Is this a proper way to characterise an Orthodox Patriarch?

@Gabriel: "Eis Polla Eti Despota" in Greek means: "Many years Master". It is a usual wish to Bishops, during the Divine Liturgy and other services of the Church!
