This monastery was built by the Mrnjavcevic brothers in the end of the 13th century. It was demolished and burnt many times and after many difficulties was built again in 1902. It is the second most acoustic church in Balkans. Its greatest spiritual growth was after the First World War when it became the refuge for the Russian monks and nuns having fled from the October revolution. The church was frescopainted by them.
