Dear brothers and sisters I think “bastasic” has right. Of courses and we all disagree with the policy of U.S.A. government. I totally understand also the filings that our friend from Serbia has. But we should not judge the cultural and national identity of America, including the flag. We can only pray for God’s mercy for all humankind. For the Orthodox, the non-Orthodox, the non-Christians, the Greeks and Hebrews, the pour and rich, men and woman, exactly as St. Paul says in his epistles.
There are not “good” or “bad”, more blessed or less blessed nations in the times of the New Testament. Every country has in its history moments of glory but also moments of horror. Unfortunately it will be always like that, until Christ’s return…

I think that I understand monachos and mikica and some others in their first reaction.
This flag is associate me on a lot of unpleasant facts to.
But, growing of Orthodox church in America, and more and more American people with Orthodox faith in their souls, are the good signs that maybe the future of this flag will be much different than the past.
Finally, Ron - angus, has made the picture of an Orthodox church in America, and this is the flag of the country where this church exist.
Take in account that this is the flag of Ron`s motherhood, and it is understandable that he love this flag like we love our countries flags.
Good blass you Ron, and I`m looking forward for more of your pictures of our Church's in America!

Sorry, but this flag associate me to ethnic cleansing of native Indians, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Granada, Corea, Vietnam, Somalia, Panama, Serbia, Afganistan, Iraq... to millions "collateral" victims of "demokracy". And finally, to brutal usurpation of Serbian Orhodox Holy land Kosovo and Metohija... Please forgive me, but this flag is non-christian for me...

an orthodox America would be a blessing for all of us. but unfortunately we know it's not like that. I know in some states word "Christmas" is almost forbidden in civil mediums. thanks God, anyway that there are some people like you. greetings!
