And if one wants to do something relating to the Greek Archaeological Service, he usually is despaired because of bureaucracy. Archaeological Service wants to check everything and prefers some monuments to stay in ruins than to be given to the liturgical practice, in case not to be changed!

Usually in Greece rich people finance some institutes in the places where they come from. Churches' restoration is not so popular as other deeds and I don't know if there is any rich man originated from Prespes.

Yes, Theologos, ministries don't have money, it's more comfortable for them to have museums and archeological sites :(. But I am sure some rich Greek people can finance that :)

There is a lot of Paleo-Christian, Byzantine and Post-Byzantine churches in ruins in Greece. They are under the Ministry of Culture which has a very low budget for restoration. So, few of them are restored, while the rest lies in ruins or deserted. And, alas, the Church of Greece hasn't enough power to claim them or enough money to restore them.

Pity it's a museum and not restaured, here is an old church that 10 years ago was exactly like in this photo, and now, thanks God, is completely restaured and painted
