How to reach the meeting place from Thessaloniki airport:
The Center of Panagia Philanthropini is located in Sithonia, Chalkidike. The travel time is one hour by car from the Thessalonike Macedonia Airport. The taxi from the airport will cost about 45 Euro. To go by car please see the following directions:
1. Follow the main highway South from Thessalonike to Chalkidike toward Nea Moudania for more than 60 kilometers. You pass Nea Moudania but DO NOT EXIT THERE.
2. To the right you will find a large green exit sign marked POLYGYROS. This is a major overpass exit towards Gerakini.
3. You continue straight out of the exit (southeast). You do not turn anywhere. Follow the signs for Ormylia. You pass the intersection for Polygyros, Gerakini, and Ormylia. YOU DO NOT EXIT AT THE ORMYLIA EXIT.
4. AFTER the Ormylia exit, you drive 3 kilometers and you pass over a bridge. To the left (north) is the exit for VATOPEDI.
5. Pass through the village of Vatopedi.
6. The road dead ends. Turn left at the Church and follow the curving road.
7. Continue until a monastery complex appears on the left. This is the Center of Panagia Philanthropini.
