I’m really shocked about the comments. I am a member of many many Orthodox circles & web-sites, but never seen before such kind of an Orthodox web-site, in which people talking about the Armenians;Orthodox or not. This is really funny!
I think we have to read more, before speaking or writing comments!
The Armenian Church is an Oriental-ORTHODOX Church.
By the way, i would like to remind; Armenia is the FIRST Christian State to adopt Christianity as its religion.
So pls never mind, the FIRST Christian nation of all around the world, would not learn Christianity & Orthodoxy from others.

I would say-and this seems to be the consensus of the mainline orthodoxy today-that the Armenian Church along with all other Oriental Churches are quite Orthodox, separated from us by merely semantics and the politics of the Roman Emperors at the time of the Council of Chalcedon and afterwards. The Armenians too, anathematize Eutyches, therefore they cannot be called Monophysites.
As to the shape of the miters, guess who were the innovators? Neither the Latins, nor the Armenians, but the Byzantines:)

Jermenska crkva, nažalost, danas nije u kanonskom jedinstvu sa Pravoslavnom crkvom. Ona pripada pravoslavnoj zajednici crkava poznatih pod imenom dohalkidonske crkve. U toj grupi su Jermenska, Koptska, Sirijska, Etiopijska, Indijsko-malabarska crkva. Sve počinje još od sabora u Efesu 431. godine kada je trijumfovala konačna pobeda nestorijanstva na istoku. Stvar kulminira na Halkidonskom saboru 451. godine kada Jermenska crkva odbacuje to učenje i prihvata da je Hristos imao samo jednu prirodu - božansku. Otuda i naziv dohalkidonske Crkve, jer su do tog Sabora gore pomenute Crkve bile u potpunom jedinstvu.

Liturgically speaking, the Church has much more in common with the Latin rite in its externals, especially as it was at the time of separation, than the Eastern Orthodox Churches. For example, their bishops wear mitres almost identical to those of Western bishops. They usually do not use a full iconostasis, but rather a curtain (which was also used in the West at the time of separation).....
