Dimitsana is the birthplace of St. Martyr Patriarch Gregorios 5th who was killed by the Ottoman-Turks in 1821 because he was supporting the Greek revolution. He was hunged at the main gate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople. Since then the gate is closed. Bravo Nicko :))
