interesting photo, Icon is a little bit to much overexposed. But it is very dificult to use flash in this conditions, and hand on left part of photo should be removed :) to be perfect but it is still very good and interesting photo 2

Frumoasa si sugestiva fotografie Mihaela
We use the word revolution because we gained the freedom of our faith, this is a major change I think and because they died for us 3

The word "revolution" could be misleading in this case. Actually, in winter of 1989, in Timisoara, Bucharest, Brasov and other important cities from Romania there was non-violent manifestations for spiritual freedom and human dignity.
The manifestants came out in streets like sheeps in the front of the wolves. They didn't have any kind of weapon with them. The "wolves" (I mean the communists) had everything, the Police, the Army, Secret Services that was recording everything, Special Troops, newspapers and television.
It was a fight between the David and Goliat.
The manifestants have been killed like the 20.000 childrens in the time of Herod.

Bunul Dumnezeu sa-i treaca in randul mucenicilor, pe cei care si-au dat viata, pentru libertatea noastra, in decembrie 1989. Doamne ajuta ! 3

And the word revolution that Romanians use for events from '89 is of course because of essential changes that happened after that.

Dear Sergei, now Romania is none's satellite, is an independent country. About the past I don't think you have complete information and I don't agree with you, but I don't want to talk here under this photo about this, maybe on forum.

Beautifull photo,but the word revolution...
Miha:...and how was Romanian Orthodox Church on the II World War(1939-1945,we know,Romania was Hitler's satelite)?I think then was not worse than now,at time of democracy. 3
mihaela 2006.12.21 [23:32] Сообщить модератору
you could not say the TRUTH, you could not speak about God, about faith, everything was a LIE, many churches and monasteries were demolished, monks and nuns were taken out from monasteries and commited to work and to get married and many many more like these..
mihaela 2006.12.21 [23:26] Сообщить модератору
Sure, Marina, is not easy to understand what this Revolution meant, especially not easy for very young generation also from here that does not know too much about how was situation here before Revolution.

And I know here was different than Serbia, I know in Serbia was very bad and I mean here was even worse.

Dear Marina, here was something much more than any definition in any dictionary, was the FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, first of all for FREEDOM OF SPIRIT, for Romanian orthodox spirit that was prisoned for 50 years by communist regime. In communist prisons communists closed and humiliated so many of the best people of this country. The youth generation from 1989 could't stand any more this unjustice and we have to be very thankful for their sacrifice and to make ourself worthy and follow their example.

word "revolution" has two meanings :
one is: making some changes by revolt
and second is : something like revolution of the Earth ariound the Sun

I think the second one is one that we are called to think about.
